Heatley, Bertuzzi

Do you think there should be criminal charges pressed against bertuzzi for what he did? And should Heatley be punished for his car accident even tho the Snyder family decided not to press charges? He was indicted for vehicular homicide and could spend up to 20 years in jail...what do you think?

Bertuzzi should because he was attempting to kill someone or injure them.  Heatley shouldn't really because he didn't mean to do it and you could tell it was a complete accident.  Why would he want to kill his friend?  But you could understand why Bertuzzi tried to kill a member of the other team(steve Mohr).

I dont think you can say that Bertuzzi was trying to kill anyone. If he wanted to kill someone, he could just start swinging his stick, but he didnt. Ive seen much worse happen in hockey, and the only reason this is different is because of the result. Even right after Bertuzzi attacked Moore, he was jumped on and the colorado guy just smoked him in the face after hauling him down. You cant call that attemted murder, since he was just standing up for his teammate. But in reality, bertuzzi was just standing up for his teammate (naslund) for the cheap hit by moore that put him out of the lineup.

If he did that on the streets, he would be put in jail. It is against the law.
