Unbelievable. Just another ploy to try and outsell Madden.

Ifn't that what its all about? everybody trys to out sell everyone else. this price thing i think should be done more.

true that... the winners are us.  Imagine if ESPN seriously breaks into Madden's croonies and gets them to pony up the $20.  What if they out sell them?  Madden might have to lower it's price to maybe... $30.

Well it's actually a very stupid ploy financial wise. And all business' goals are too make money. Because even if it sells 2.5 copies as much as Madden it still won't have more money.

You obviously know nothing about business. The $20 price point will only be for this year. They are attempting to take market share from Madden by not only offering the better game but pricing where people will at least buy both. I don't think it will be $40 or $50 next year but if they are successful in taking enough market share they can raise the price to $35 and make a lot more money than Madden.

They can't compete at the same price because of Madden's huge brand recognition they have to not only increase quality but lower price. There has been many case studies similar to this one that has been successful.

Wow how old are you? 10? If they raise the price agian next year it will just attract LESS buyers. Plus I think Madden will sell more despite the unfair advantage.

Oh please, what they are trying to do is to show people they really are better than madden, if people see that this year they won't go back to madden next year. You need an incentive to try the game and choose for yourself. Pesonally i have thought ESPN to be the better of the 2 for the past two years.

well, at this point it looks like madden and espn are 2 very good games, you really cant go wrong with either one, so im just going to buy the game that has more members playing online(since thats 90% of the reason why i buy these types of games)
