EASports developer admits QA failure

0 replies 1 views Edited Jul 17, 2008

NCAA09 Football was released this week, and it was quickly discovered that editing the names of generic players on multiple teams (every single player in NCAA09 has a generic name of QB #9, TB #44, etc)…causes entire teams to disappear from the game, which then causes the game to crash.  They are releasing an emergency patch that has already been sent to Sony/MS for approval, that fixes this error.  (source: http://www.operationsports.com/forums/ncaa-football/256418-ncaa-football-09-patch-announcement.html )

Now today, under questioning from angry players, Adam Thompson of Tiburon admits that “nobody” tested that functionality.  Not a single person on their QA team tested the re-naming of generic players in NCAA 09 football.  (source: http://www.operationsports.com/forums/ncaa-football/256660-there-any-chance-beta-copy-published-lieu... )
