We should all get together and voice our support for adding Silent Hill 4: The Room, 0rigins, and Shattered Memories to the Playstation Network as Playstation 2 Classics. This is the year of Silent Hill for Konami (HD collection, Downpour, VITA game, and the new movie), so it is only befitting to also have these classic games added to the Playstation Network for all to enjoy. Let Sony and Konami know we want these!

My guess is that if they rerelease them, it will be as a 2nd HD collection. But first they better fix the original; I am holding off until it's really cheap or they patch it.

I first want Konami to know they messed up with the HD collection. If Konami makes a physical version of an HD collection 2 it's going to take a lot of convincing for me to buy on first day again. Never again --_--
buuut, more people need to play Silent Hill 4. That game doesn't get enough love.

This is why I would just prefer to them to release them as PS2 classics, and forgo the fan disappointment this time around. I read on their Facebook that they are still working to patch the HD collection (which plays fine for me on my 360, by the way; unless you're referring to something other than the glitches).
"Silent Hill fans, we are currently aware that many users have encountered technical issues while playing Silent Hill HD Collection and Silent Hill Downpour.
Development teams are currently creating online patches for both games, which will fix frame rate issues, as well as the audio-synching in Silent Hill HD Collection and the Auto-Save issues in Silent Hill Downpour. Players have voiced their concerns and solutions to these issues will be fixed and launched in the coming weeks. Patches for Silent Hill Downpour and Silent Hill HD Collection will be made available on both XBOX®Live Arcade and PlayStation®Network.
Thank you for your patience and stay tuned to this page as we update you on this ongoing process."

I haven't heard of the autosave issues, what are those?

wow, you're really lucky. T.T maybe it depends on what kind of a ps3 system you have, mine's a 120 gb slim. o_O, and yes, it glitched terribly, even with the patch.
Apparently some of the autosaves would become corrupted and take out other saves too. Only for downpour, Hd collection doesn't have autosaving.

I’m looking forward to those Silent Hill HD Collection and Silent Hill: Downpour patches. One of the main reasons why I haven’t given Silent Hill: Downpour the attention that I feel it deserves is because the frame rate issues in this video game drive me crazy. It is good to know that these issues are being addressed.
