World at War or Bioshock

13 replies 4 views Edited Nov 9, 2008
Which do you guys think i should ask for for Christmas, i know i want R2 but i'm stuck between these 2 games. I had CoD4 and loved it, but i thought the Bioshock demo was pretty interesting and really different from anything i've ever played before.

I would think that BioShock would be the better choice in the end. It's not that the Call of Duty game wouldn't be nice to have, but it's really just more of the same. You already have Call of Duty 4. It's like you're buying the game all over again, this time on a World War II stage. With BioShock you have a new and more innovative route to travel down.

I'd have said bioshock hands down BUT it has no online whatsoever.

Call of Duty World At War will have offline and online, also trophies, split screen multiplayer.

get CoD it may be the cod4 engine but it's going to be a cool game.

I would say Bioshock. That may change when WaW comes out, but I doubt it.

Yeah i was thining Bioshock, the biggest downfall to that is that there's no online, where is you can get more play out of WaW.. I'll have to think about this a bit more.

There may be no multiplayer component coupled with BioShock, but you really don't need that to play a game. It's a matter of basically the same old versus something new. Besides, you did say that you'll be picking up Resistance 2, right? You can use that one for multiplayer, and on the other hand, you'll be able to play through the single-player campaign in BioShock.

Ehh.. That is true, i just thought that from the demo BioShock was pretty cool cause it's not like anything else out, and CoD is just the same old same old.. I guess getting both CoD5 and R2 would be like getting 2 similar games in a way as well, good point, i'll probably end up going with BioShock unless another game catches my eye.

I'd pick Bioshock, and rent WAW just for campaign.
