Really? Thats insane. I never knew the PS3 supported steamworks. This only means possible cross system multyplayer right?

Well, the PS3 will support Steam when Portal 2 arrives, if Valve can be believed, and they have said that they're on the talks of making PC and PS3 players playing together co-op, nothing is promised, though.

Very interesting, lets hope this pulls through. Could mean a whole new generation of console gaming?

Who knows, it's been done before, but never with any PlayStation product, this could change what Sony sees about multiplayer and gaming for good.
