Hey, I finally have to decided to ask this question, pride was the only thing stopping me. I am not a very good socom player, yes of course I have my good games and sometimes though not often good days but I lack the skill, knowledge, and aim of other players. I don't know if it could be my lack of confidence or what. I tend to rush a lot even if we are up and get killed a lot by campers, I just started playing again after a 6 month break so I am a little rusty. I tried to move around then sit back and started playing really good, I got back to back mvp with 12:6 KD for those games a piece. Is it my run and gun or what. I have very good aim but it is weird one moment I have it then the next I don't. Confrontation was my first socom game and was introduced to it by a friend, I know the remaining players that play this game are vets and play a lot more than I do plus I have been running into a lot of cheaters, **bleep** I HAVE NEVER SEEN BEFORE. For instance me and a couple of random players were in a 4v4 playing against a stacked team led by this 100 thugstyle_13 fyi he is a garbage player he died everytime he would leave the spawn, We were winning and the last two rounds they started knifing us with infinite health just to aviod a lose how sad. Another is invisibilty cloaks and **bleep**. Im going to stop before this post gets out of hand. Any advice? Do i just need to have 5000 hours of playing time to be great? **bleep** not happening.

Generally speaking unless you can find a cheater and lag free room your experience is always going to be up and down, and it's not just the brazen cheats like you described there are also subtle and hidden methods of cheating that go on even when the room appears clean(such as modifying weapon stats or intentional lag). Cheater free rooms are possible if enough people in the room devote themselves to that mission, the way "therealsocom.com" rooms used to be for example but even back when those were still clean lag was still always an issue even if it was all innocent or server side. Lag is the grand equalizer between the good, the bad and the cheaters. You can optimize your own connection to the best of your abilities but with the peer to peer nature of the game it won't matter in the end when it helps one side or the other stay alive longer than they should or kill before the other even has a chance.
Best advice with the inconsistent nature of socom is to use the most consistent guns available, don't run around with the 12 gauge m870 and get frustrated when half your hits don't register even when there is no lag, if you think something is fishy in the room switch to a reliable 5.56mm assault rifle(preferably not the M4/552 challenge yourself at least a little...). In the end you will know if you should of won a gun fight or outmaneuvered your opponents under normal circumstances and that's the best you can hope for.

i told you bro, its all about being in the right place at the right time to pull that off lol , just dont let yourself down because we all have good and bad days, unless you cheat...then your just a cheating mother **bleep**er
