Idk about you guys but i wouldn't mind a confrontation 2, i think we can all agree the IDEA of confrontation was good, the game just simply didn't work but it had alot of potential and promise, more then socom 4 lol.

I'd like to give SOCOM 4 a chance before I start thinking about the "next" game.

agree but to me i think the ONLY thing that ruined socom was the run button

You want Slant Six to ruin the franchise again!?! At least let Zipper finish ruining it first!

Am I the only person that enjoys confrontation? I just got back into it a couple weeks ago and have only run into a handful cheaters.
I would definately rather play it than the FPS's on the market.

If slant six would of released the game in the state it is now in the beginning without the cheaters and tilly's a lot more people would be playing.

This is purely me speculating, as I have nothing solid to back up my claim, but socom: confrontation would have been socom 4 had it had a story line. So basically, you're asking for another online only socom.
I will say that I think S:C could have been a very good socom game, but like someone else just said, the game was handed to a novice development team. The concepts were there, the engine was solid, it just needed some tweeks, more maps, and no specializations (subjective, I guess).
Where that game failed was the lack of talent, time and budget when being created.
