With the servers being shut down at the end of August and Socom 4 not being anything like an actual Socom game, does everyone think activity on Confrontation will pick up?
The reason I ask is because I am re-buying a ps3 at the end of this month and when I saw Confrontation was $3.99 at Gamestop, I decided to pick it up again (had it years ago). I played the crap out of all the ps2 Socoms and have yet to find a game on any next gen system that reminded me of the older ones, and I actually enjoyed Confrontation a lot, so I was hoping it'd see some sort of revival with it being cheap and with the end of the ps2's game servers' plugs being pulled.
I'm not sure how much activity there is on it now, but I'm sure an increase would be nice starting in September.

That's very likely but there will also likely be a drop up until the shut off date as people go back for a last chance to play them.
What I'm worried about are the cheaters looking for a new place to troll.

I'll probably be one of the players who go back to 2 and 3 for one last hurrah, but once they're down, I'll have no choice but to make my Socom home on Confrontation. I'm hoping all of the kids and legit players from the ps2 Socoms make their way onto Confrontation also. I'd like to have a semi-decent community.
