Re: "SOCOM: Legacy" the end all be all off SOCOM games

Apr 24, 2011

I would buy the game but no sprint no ots view no slow gameplay and no other non Socom crap. The game needs to stay true. True to the Socom I/II roots.

And of course no vehicels.

This game would be the one to retire the franchises Hall of Fame career in SOCOMers eyes. It would be everything everyone has wanted over the past 9 years and more. There would be no need for DLC of any kind, the game would ship at retail for 79.99 or 89.99. And it would entail all of these things and others as we progress lets make a list.  ill add things to the list as suggestions arise

  • S4 graphics + 3D
  • 25 mission SP w/ Gold trophy for stealth killing every enemy in the entire game on elite also alternate endings
  • Full 25 mission CO-Op campaign separate that of SP
  • Traditional S1-CA TPV camera
  • Lobbies
  • S3 search mechanics
  • 50-75 Mp maps Fireteam bravo maps included
  • Every character skin from S1-S4 and FTB 1- 3
  • Prone roll
  • Duck
  • Free dpad lean
  • jump to climb
  • dive to prone
  • grenade arc
  • Clan Ladder system with Day , Night, weekend seasons with playoffs.
  • 1 3 or 5 map clan wars agreed upon by clan leaders and selected at random
  • Confrontation Weapons customization minus super modded weapons ie Vera Tilly, Gladys
  • Pistols
  • No Dual Primaries
  • All games modes: Demolition, Breach, Escort, Extraction, Convoy, Control Points, Elimination, Suppression, Last Defense, Uplink, Bomb Squad. I didnt play FTB series but if ihad different modes add those too.
  • Every map specifically catered or altered to one game mode in mind like S1-S2 to ensure true individuality and uniqueness of the maps. No more playing Crossroads Breach....
  • 50+ weapons
  • Various weapon accessories and gear items
  • Ranked Respawn tailored after the Traditional SOCOM MP.
  • Separate stats for ranked and non ranked/ And also separate stats for respawn and None
  • Video match recording ala UC and COD
  • In game player abuse report system
  • Individual medleys ala Breach Med, Demo Med, Escort med etc etc
  • S4 stat collection setup
  • Push to talk
  • Proximity Chat
  • Detailed in game score board
  • S1-S2 enhanced HUD
  • Picking up any gear off of dead bodies regardless of what you carry as long as a slot is open.
  • Lobby Text chat along with audio
  • Push to talk audible signals for grabbing the mics
  • Alpha Bravo Charlie alternate channels tap to talk down on the dpad for secondary channel

Im fresh out of ideas though at this point....SOCOM: Legacy

all four games sp's with co op and of course instant actions secure demo extract and escort

gh3tto if the game mode could work there its all good but dont make the maps with every mode in mind because it takes away from the strategy

not every game mode would work on every map, i'm just saying limiting a map to one specific game mode is going backwards as far as socom evolution, like Socom 4!

i agree on everything except the maps being specific for certain game modes. i like cross roads breach, cross roads extraction, crosss roads supression. its fun as demo but can be fun as other game modes also, as well as many other maps. death trap would be a cool breach map and not just extraction. many maps can be played in various game modes.

to add to your list i would say customizable maps as far as time of day and weather. being able to play maps during night or day should be an option and being able to turn on the weather would make for interesting matches. turn on rain, snow or sand storms to make visibility a little rough!
also bring back night vision from S2/ S3.

if its limited to one mode it offers different ways to attack it but if another mode so happens to work with the map its all good and thats how they were on socom 1 and 2

I don't think that is possible on the PS3, unless SOCOM !! or SOCOM 3 is made in HD.

Wouldn't having more modes offer 10x the amount of ways to attack the map? Surely you wouldn't play Crossroads Extraction as you would Crossroads Demo. Each mode requires its own set of tactics.
