nice predictable response. i'll retort just to give you the satisfaction this once.

 

i know plenty about socom, but thats not the issue.

 

the real issue is how many more years of your lives are all of you pitiful trolls going to spend on socom forums spewing hate with absolutley nothing constructive or mature to say.

 

move on already, so people that actually want to use these forums to DISCUSS socom, and not just HATE socom, can actually do so.

 

obviously everyone that actually likes socom doesnt post here, why would they.

ever since   'socom Constipation' the forums have turned into a graveyard of players that think ps2 games should never be updated outside of graphics. yaaaawn. i played those games for 1000s of hours, and a lot of us Zipper FANS actually want something and different, yet with the core FEELING of the originals.

 

i guess cursing makes you an internet tough guy. congrats, you must be the first to achieve that and when faced with any opinion that is not in line with yours you scream. im shaking.

I feel like you guys made a good decision on making it an option on which ever game type we preferred to play, especially bcuz I know lots of ppl who would buy socom just because it has Respawn as one of the Standard modes now and not just a little practice utility. Me personally, Classic mode all day everyday! BUT, (theres always a but) for us classic people, can we get a little more than just "no respawn, no health regen, and no cover"? can we have pistols back, can we have all those great game modes that made the name SOCOM!!  I understand no user ranked rooms and stuff like that, bcuz of cheaters.. but can we get more than what we apparently have. Classic mode is where all realism comes into play! if im in a bush and someones crosshair goes across that bush and my name pops up, PLEASE remove that from the game NOW before you even release it!! Make it so my secondary weapon is required to be a pistol. Make it so when I speak too loudly, the opponent can hear me if they are close enough. I can give to craps about what goes on in respawn but i respect that u guys made it to gain more fans which is just fine with me. A lot of you other ppl on here has to realize that this is a business before its for the fans. Zipper and sony are trying to make more money and remaking the same (EXACT) game will not do it.. the same fans (or even less) will buy it and it'll be much of a waste for the companies. All I ask is for Zipper is to be loyal to the long time fans PLEASE!!

im just saying how could agree with all these changes ???
90% of the socom community does not support these changes, and the never ask zipper to change the basic core. Go what’s youtube BLACKWIDOW88 do your research he’s not the only one who disagrees there are more!!
How is this a core feeling for you if there is no
1. Lobby's :I know for a fact if I would go into west 9 I would finde people I know who aren’t on my friend list because you can only have a 100 friends on you list .So with no lobby’s ,, tell me how am I going to play with them?? via party system wich is going to be a drag to do my friend. So if you don’t find that core i don’t’ know what is BTW im talking 16 v 16.
2.pistols : now ever fool is going to run around with a sniper and a smg on it's back .where is the skill in this . Gone or maybe you just like it easy, no tactic’s needed anymore.
3.push to talk button D pad Up: hahahha what do you have 6 fingers or are you somekind of freak alien.
4.No Demolition and other game modes come on. what's the socom core with out those game modes , have you been living in a gave ?? maybe
there is more but im to lazy to go and mention them to you all , but wait your a “socom vet” yeah offcourse so you already should know
So I aint here to argue with you but I just want to make a point I don’t mind adding new things but to changes these key core feachers is wrong and now releasing them to the community 3 months before release is shocking . so go and have your self a good day smart ass and have fun with your new core experience

Any way for clans to get clan wars while online? Like the S2 system of setting up a so and so wants 8v8 room, clans would see it, come it, you'd agree to map choices, someone would go make , everyone joins?

 

 

This is classic socom and worked great to make the community tighter. Is it clear yet how they are handling wars / clan support?

If zipper cant stop all the glitchers and lag switchers i will return socom4 and get my $$$ back and then through my PS3 in the trash were it belongs.This is your last chance with me.And alot of people i know that have stood by the socom name. I will not wait for 3 months while you clowns sit around with your thumb up your&#% trying to fix it. I remember zipper from SC1-2and3 and my guess is that after28 years of gameing fun. You zipper will break my will to keep playing games. I dont hold much hope.  This is more than likely my Swan Song.

Why is there respawn, if thats the case bring back slant six i mean **bleep** all u want is sales from the call of duty **bleep**s, thinking they will buy cause all they want to do is run around with their **bleep**ing heads cut off and not think at all. all i got to say is no pistols, no d pad lean, no grenade arc sounds like mag to be not at all socom. You are not making socom your making a game for the most sales, after i heard this prolly no sale from me very dissapointed. Get rid of the ranked respawn, put back demo escort extraction, i mean capture the flag where did u get that hmmmm COD You look at all the games they sold and u beat off your not socom sounds like COD and MAG which Mag blew ass biggest waste of 60 bucks i spent in the last year

yea well this is Blackheven commander in chief, and I just want say that I hope that my best of the best game makers can deliver. IM really expecting something of a new born baby by these guys really, I really can't believe you guys let slaint6 fing things up for eveyone. There's was like nobody that I know that like that game at all. I still remember locking my self in my new York apt and only came out for supplies, for like a week. We all stayed home or couldn't wait inorder to get off work just to lock and load, BH for life bytches. Slaint6 I wouldn't buy the last  piece of chick in the world for you guys, or anything ealse at that matter. I hope that 60 buck you stole for us all kills all your dreams of making it big ever....

Ok first off let me say the game looks fun. Unfortunately it's not really the Socom we know and love, in fact it's not really Socom at all.

 

I'm not really a big fan of that arcade feel with XP points popping up on your screen when you get a kill. Yes I do play games like that but I only play them for about an hour or so before becoming bored with it. Classic Socom I would play for hours on end. Heck even Confrontation which was terrible, I would play for hours. Why would I play such a crappy game for so long, because it had some small resemblance (and I do mean small) to the old Socom. It had the same game modes, same tactical aspects, some what same lobby and clan support. But it was filled with flaws and we all hoped that Zipper would some day come along and save the day. Now, it looks like you are taking away the few good things that /6 kept in Socom completely out. Suppression is the only game mode that you took from previous Socoms?! Really??!! If you go on Confrontation and go on any server what is the one room that is always filled??? Demo! Always! I would bet my entire years salary multiplied by every single persons' salary on this podcast that the West 9 Server 8v8 Demo 1 and 2 has people in it at 8 PM EST on a Friday night. What's the one room everyone has repeatedly asked /6 to add more of??? Demo 8v8 even 16v16. Demo is the favorite mode and the game mode that made Socom so addicting. The modes are part of Socom's signature. You have to play as a team strategically to do well. 

 

D-pad up to talk is a joke but I actually believe I know why this was overlooked. In your podcast you said that you guys would go and play S4 for hours on end. Now I imagine you have rooms set up with TVs and PS3s and there are probably several in a room. I would even bet you had room A playing room B in which everyone in each room where on the same side. If I'm in a room (an actual room) with 7 other people, each having their own TV and they are all on my side I'm probably not going to hit the mic button. Instead I'm just going to say out loud that there's an enemy heading over there, or I'm under fire. Easy to overlook the problem with having the D-pad up as the mic. Not a good excuse but I can see why it doesn't seem like a big deal to you, Zipper. In the podcast you even say how important the mic is and that if you see an enemy following on a teammate and don't call it out you will usually get asked why you didn't when you die. Well here is the excuse everyone is going to be using. "I couldn't call him out because I would have had to take my thumb off the left analog stick making my character stand still."

 

I pretty much agree with every single thing said so far by every person that has posted negatively. I'm not going to restate what they said. Above are two of the BIGGEST mistakes Zipper is making with this game. Getting rid of old modes and making the mic button D-pad up. Please fix this. Yes this game will sell but the reason Socom is different for me and most of the hardcore vets compared to the other shooters is, when a map pack or other DLC comes out on Socom, I buy it. I buy it the day it's released because I can't live without it for even a day. When it comes out for other shooters, I have become so bored with the game I can't justify paying for DLC when I know it's only going to give me an hour or so of fun before I'm tired of it. Please feel free to respond Zipper to any of what I have stated above either on here or in the podcast. It's not too late to keep the vets happy and still make an addicting game for all players.
