Ok so I'm really thinking about buying this game but I LOVE sniping. I just want to know what this game brings to the table sniping wise. Like what guns are there and can you have attachments..? Thanks.

If you're looking for a game with challenging sniping give BF 3 a look. With the bullet drop system it gets harder the further you are away. When you have a guy moving like 300 meters away and you have to lead him into the shot while also compensating for the bullet drop it's challenging but feels rewarding when you get the kill.

Well there are 4 useless rifles that wont kill in one shot and have horrible accuracy or ridiciloujs recoil, and then there are four rifles that will and have massive aim assist. Keep in mind that for each team there is a gun with a different skin but an exact counter part on the other side so in reality there are only 4 rifles, 2(one for each side) are from DLC. All gun groups follow that rule with a few exceptions in assault rifles and SMGs.

And like all the other guns in this game attachments are predetermined and locked.

Don't waste your money.

Don't do it. You'll end up getting countered by someone with a SMG! You'll sit there and wonder why you're even trying to snipe in the first place.

A SMG? Not after the nerf but anyone with an assault rifle or LMG is going to be an even match for you at any range...assuming you are using one of the anti material rifles if you are using any of the other sniper rifles you're fucked.

To elaborate on what the guys above me said, if you aim through a Scope, your view wobbles all over the place and where the crosshairs line up doesn't seem to be exactly where the bullet goes, so it can be hard as hell to actually snipe in this game. On the other hand, someone with an Assault Rifle or LMG can just zoom the screen in (without using a Scope) and they get perfect accuracy and no screen wobble. Then they just put their crosshair over you and 9 times out of 10 will get a headshot.

For Sniping, you either want Battlefield or Operation: Flashpoint.
