Hi there,

My first impression of the game is....

Well, i didn´t played the game right now (i bought the game today). But unfortunately, i didn´t played it yet.

Reason: Trouble with Updates.

What I do when I buy some PS3 game is updating it and grabbing the update link (through any proxy software around for windows).

After grabbing the update package file with any download manager, I simply resend the file for the ps3 through proxy... Well it works every time and with every game!

But when I first ran SOCOM4 this appeared to be tha same, but after the first update it gets to a screen to grab the second update through an secure link.... Oh hell, why the ps3 update package mechanism is for?

I have already about 49 Gigs of updates from diverse games, and if I want to upgrade my PS3 HD what should I do? To re-download all of these updates? NO WAY!

Developers of SOCOM 4, 5, and so on, please listen: UPDATING THROUGH A SECURE CHANNEL IS A DUMB WAY TO DO THINGS! LET THE PROXY BE FREE!

SAME **bleep** HERE EXACTLY WHAT KEEPS HAPPENING TO ME. IT CAN BE THE **bleep** PS3 console cause I just bought it today and now I'm reading others having this issue? Worst part about it, is these clowns (Sony and zipper BOTH) who are ripping you idiots off who pay for the plus are taking all that money and taking vacations. they arent doing anything to help matters! They all need their jaws cracked hard!

 try   loading up the game off line 1st.. dont come online for installing anything.   when you going online for that part of  installing  do it in the early morning hours i say 8- 9 am.. if that does not wrok.  Contact  sony customer service..

I figured it out. You have to download the game install first. To do this you'll have to disable your internet connection from your PS3 and delete any updates in your game date utility. Once your game install is done go back to the PS3 main menu and enable your internet connection. Then load up the game again, download the updates and they should download without any slow speed. It worked for me and I've been trying to play this game for over a month.
