Is this game still going to have a good community for a while (like MAG had)? I know lots of people dislike this game because it's "not SOCOM" (which it is), But I was in the beta and loved it, So is this game going to be nice and alive for a good while y'think?

Well without a way to play with your friends until June at the earliest I think most new people will be turned off into sticking with it. But in regards to your "I know lots of people dislike this game because it's "not SOCOM" (which it is)" do you mean it's SOCOM because of the name on the box or the features in the game. Just curious.

Just pick it up now since both Best Buy and Amazon have it for $45

I mean, Sure it plays quite diffierently, But it still retains the same tactical "thinking man's shooter" style that previous SOCOM games had. It doesn't play like classic SOCOM, But it still has the SOCOM feel through and through.

Silverwolf, when was the last time you played socom? I cant help but laugh when someone says it feels like socom. I played alot of socom 1 and 2 during the beta. Then I would get on the unsocom 4 beta and it felt more like call of duty than socom.....exact samw controller layout and L1 aim etc. if you like the game rent and enjoy it,but it doesnt feel anything like socom, dont fool yourself
I played all the SOCOM games, I loved 2 and CA the most, Though I thought Confrontation was garbage.
I don't consider myself a "vet", I'm open minded when it comes to games, And I don't mind trying something new. I was in the beta for SOCOM 4 and I loved it, It's an insult to compare this game to CoDerp, It's NOTHING alike. This game doesn't boil down to who ever had the most campers/OP guns on the team wins, Just because it's not SOCOM 2, doesn't mean it's garbage, Remove the nostalgia goggles.
And by the way, I'm not even looking for "SOCOM", I'm just looking for a decent TPS.

No, it's not socom. There is no community now, out of all the games i have played since the beta maybe three people had mics. Also, if you think mag had a good community, you should have played the real socoms. This game is barely worth a $5.99 price tag, let alone $60.
I ran into you in beta a few times I believe and I don't remember you ever talking. I'm a big advocate of talking and tend to call out peoples positions consistantly. After a game or two people start to participate - It's just right now the mic system is absolutely garbage and you tend to feel like you're taking more time up than you need to so you may as well not talk at all.
