Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth

Judging from the high price of the original version.  Would it be better to just wait for the PSP version.  Will it all be the same.  Or will we hopefuls be let down with a horrible port?

Other than some "slightly" improved graphics and some added cinemas, they look exactly the same....  So if you own a PSP, you might want to just wait for the PSP version....  But playing RPGs at home is always better (no need for battery charging, plus you have a big screen) so you might want to check out the old PSone version....  I didn't answer your question at all, did I?  Hehehe....  Sorry!

well last I checked there is still no release date for either Lenneth (PSP) or Silmeria (new PS2 Valkyrie). Im really hoping that we get both and Im sure we'll get the latest Valkyrie Profile on PS2 but since it seems alot of publishers have been screwing the States on North American releases when it comes to RPGs, well im a little bit skeptical until its actually announced. Now Im sure Square-Enix will release it on PSP in North America but its still not set in stone either. But yes, considering the price of the PS version Id suggest waiting for the game on PSP. Valkyrie Profile is a great game but Im sorry, there is also no way its worth more than $50 in great condition.

As for a horrible port? No, we are talking about Square Enix not EA/EA Sports. Square will indeed bring us a solid port. It may not be perfect but its going to be a solid port and you can almost count on that coming from Square-Enix/tri-Ace (the developers). So rest assure if it does get an official release stateside its going to be a solid game. If not a stateside release pray Europe gets another great RPG so we can at leasst import it. ie: see Tales of Eternia and Breath of Fire III...
