Why does it cost $26.87 to buy all of the DLC (themes not included) for the game?! There is no way that I am going to pay $50 for Trinity Universe and then have to pay another $26.87 on top of that. That's $76.87 plus tax. You pretty much have to buy all of the DLC if you want to be able to get a platinum trophy in the game and not have to level grind for the next year to be able to beat the game. Here are all of the download prices (themes not included) .99 x 3, $1.99 x 7, $2.99 x 2, $3.99 x 1
I will not buy this game unless they can lower the prices on the DLC. $9.99 would be a reasonable price for all of the DLC since the game only costs $50. I don't care about the themes prices because they are not necessary to beat the game, just the main DLC should equal out to no more than $9.99 before I will buy this game.

I noticed that too, so my plan is to wait and buy the game when it eventually (and it will) goes down to about $20 - $25 or get it used at that price, then get the downloadable content if I like the game enough. I've always argued that most downloadable content is stuff that should've came with the game anyway. Just look at any game that has a game of the year edition and you'll see that they usually add all the downloadable stuff to it, so it's not impossible and space is not an issue. It's just a low down way to squeeze out extra money, sort of like with Pay to play games, and of course as long as there are people out there dumb enough to pay for it, companies will continue to do it.

You don't have to buy any of the DLC. It's all on the disc and you can get it for free. This DLC just let's you get it easily ahead of time.

Yeah, I'm going to do the same. One thing I noticed about JRPGs though is that they never come out with a game of the year edition. They just lower the price of the game and the DLC. Usually they come out with a bundle package where you can buy all of the DLC bundled together for a lower price than buying everything separate.

That's usually because they didn't sold as much copies compared to games like littlebigplanet. If a game sold over a million copy then it's usually released again as Best of Playstation.
The lowered prices of rpg games are first-print games that have not been sold yet. Rpgs rarely gets a second printing although an exception is demon's soul.
