And also my BC PS3 disc drive finnally died after all these years :-( I need to see how much Sony will charge to get it fixed as I really don't want to lose it because of thte BC. I have far to many PS2 RPG's I need to play still!
Atlus is really one of the most fantastic publishers out there at the moment because as you said they do know their fan base well and they know exactly what to do to get you to buy their games! I still can't beleive i bought King of thrones....ug. I don't even have any desire to play it I just wanted that hard cover art book!

It would be nice for it to be hitting both the PS 3 and the Vita but the Vita does need it's own separate games (even if many at the moment are ports of older games)
But I'm stoked to be getting the skin for my Vita. Pimpin' My Vita!

That's almost what happened to me. I got the YLOD, tried a home fix, and wound up getting a slim model on Black Friday last year. It was a shame, too. I was in the middle of a NG+ run on P3 FES, and about halfway through Catherine. I still haven't had the motivation to start that back up. I've still got my old PS3 in hopes of salvaging some saves off the HDD.

Oh no YLOD! Thankfully mine is still fully functional apart from the disc drive, so I can play anything downloaded. But I when I happened I needed a PS3 cause I knew surgery was coming up again soon (turns out later than I thought as still no date has been set and on waiting list) and didn't want to be without a working PS3 so I got a slim as well and figured I'd stick the original in my room and have the slim on my nicer TV. So at least I was able to transfer all my data to the slim. But I really want to fix it since it seems fine other wise. The PS2 I have was given to me by an old friend and sonehow it still works. Its the fat model, which I heard horror stories about, and not only that she used to smoke in her house so its insides are so full of dust and smoke its revolting, I don't know enough about electronics to want to try cleaning out some of that dust but how it can breath is beyond me. Anyway still works perfectly its just crazy. I'm wondering though if I should get a cheap PS2 just in case the PS3 is to expensive to fix or something since sony doesn't seem to have backw.
ards compatibility as a focus anymore sadly.
But good luck on salvaging! I hope your able to. Nothing as upsetting as losing data...except maybe death...but the jury is out on that one.
And Papa, yes the Vita does need games, but I think original games made for the system will make a bigger impact than having something like P4 be offered as a PS3 download as well, and if it was cross play I think that would make a stronger case for the Vita. Speaking of cross play are save files sent back and forth from the Vita to the Ps3 for cross play? Does anyone know how that works?

I would prefer original games as well. The Vita is definitely getting some solid originals. The cross buy program will help as well.

I didn't manage to get the limited edition sadly, evertime I went to EB they didn't have it in their system, then Atlus said stores wouldn't be taking pre orders anynore, well the one here never did! Maybe its a Canada thing, but seemed online was the only way to get a hold of it. Oh well at leas I'll get the pre order bonus.
