I was disappointed when I saw that Pokemon Black/white was there but not Gold/Silver.
I haven't played Black/White, but I felt that Gold/Silver should have made the list too.
Agreed. While BW included several revolutionary changes to the series, GSC introduced MANY gameplay enhancements that still stand to this day- Genders/breeding, roaming legendaries, speical poke balls, holding items, and the introduction of the Dark/Steel types. On top of that, the games are the only ones in the series that let you travel multiple regions, which extended the game's replayability even more! Honestly, GSC is the best generation of the Pokemon games, if you ask me.
In regards to FF VIII- Considering it's my favorite game of all time, I'd definitely like to see it higher. However, I do understand that it is probably the most polarizing FF game out there, and there are an equal amount of people who hate the game with a burning passion as there are who love it as much as I do.
But Persona 3 DEFINITELY should have been higher up. The game is a masterpiece. Also, Morrowind was absolutely awful. The majority of Elder Scrolls fans that I know even agree with that. It doesn't deserve to be anywhere near this list.
Does anyone have this list in a better format? I don't want to give IGN 100 free clicks to spam me with ads and bloated flash xD
I wish Dark or demon souls made top 10. The combat mechanics of those two are the best that i have ever experienced. Not to mention it also has some of the best level design and atmosphere in rpg games. Great innovative mp too. Also kinda surprised they put Skyrim ahead of oblivion.
I was pleased to note that Final Fantasy VII was not in the top 10. As with any list however, it is subjective. I wouldn't have put FF VII in my top 100 myself but that's me. The list contained many great games. Chrono Trigger, Mass Effect, Final Fantasy IX, Final Fantasy VI, Final Fantasty IV, Dragon Quest VII, Dragon Quest VIII, Breath of Fire III, Icewind Dales 2, Persona 3, and so forth.
