Seems to have that older Suikoden feel to it then? That is the info I am looking for from anyone here that plays it. I wouldn;t say Suikoden 1 and 2 are favorites of mine or anything, but I did enjoy them. If this new one is more like them and less like either of the PS2 installments, than that is great. Now I can mope that I don't have it. lol
MarcAlan wrote:Alrighty then, I've played for about 3-4 hours and this is just some very early(read: half coherent) impressions. Also, I will try to avoid them, but I'm tagging this spoiler, just in case.So far, I like this game. The main hero is silent, however almost every time there is a scene, you get to make a choice of some kind. Makes you feel like you're not just sitting, watching a blinking movie. The story seems to be a bit slow at this early point in the game, although I think I see where it is going. The voice work is very well done, and so far no one's voice grates on my nerves. All the characters I've met are at least not hateable, although that may change(108 Stars of Destiny, and one of them is Qlon). Heck, there may even be a bit of a love story here.Combat is something that I have not seem much of yet, only...5 times so far. One area where I had 2 random encounters and a boss fight, and 2 more fights that where easy because of who was in my party. Yep 5 times. I do like it though, very Suikoden 1-ish.So there are my earliest impression. Back to playing.
