Re: The Unofficial Complete Guide to Ridge Racer 7

Removed the kudos, thanks yasdad.

Over the coming days I will try to create a RR7 PS3 theme. I already have a few images to use. What I will need are lots of 128x128 images (c60 icons; cars and tracks will take up about 45 and then I will repeat or think of other ones). Resizing is not so good so I will try to take photos off the TV and see how I get on.

Any hints or tips appreciated.

All you really need is a good pic ( you can use the provided icons ) then rename your pic to wallpaper_HD.jpg & wallpaper_SD.jpg (put them in the Create Folder) … now drag the PS3Theme_template.html file INTO the PS3Compiler.exe, it will make the theme for U in about a 90 seconds… DONE.

the instruction detail how to change the name, icon, author, authors icon, version #, comments and a preview pic... it will tell u how to have multi-Wallpapers as well... It also details how to create your own icons...

Have Fun !

I have a 1920x1080 picture but IMO that is just a wallpaper not a theme. To call it a theme I need to do icons as well and that is what I will attempt (I have Reiko and a couple of cars). If the quality of the pics holds up then all well and good, but if not then I will abandon.

Over lunch I have created a beta RR7 theme with wallpaper and 4 icons. I will try it out this evening.

@ tvrman

the real difficult part is the HD picture size must be 1920x1080, otherwise u get the bars at the end of the screen...

I have never attempted to create or edit the icons, congrats on doing that ...

Good luck with your theme...

is this something you will be adding to your website or have already?

Yes, I plan to. But I need to re-write it a bit because I have full control over the HTML and can (hopefully) make it look a bit better than a forum post

Re: The Unofficial Complete Guide to Ridge Racer 7

Hello Everyone,

Here is the Mist Falls Guide from me :

Mist Falls:
LAP1:
Lot of way to start the race, I give the simpler one I think.
At the end of the first straight, there is broad a S-curve. once it passed, wait 1/2 second and fire single NOS--recharge it on the long right turn before the big statue, normally you must be able to recharge one tank before the statue, fire it immediately, and recharge it on the big left corner before the hill climb.
there, two possibilities:
You have
-two tanks, you fire it at the middle of the first two hill climb,
-one tank fire it just before landing of the second hill climb
-- recharge it on the left corner at the end of the cave.

fire a single nos immediatly after the left corner-- recharge it on the small s-curve at the entrance of the tunnel
there two possibility:
You have
- two tanks, you fire it as soon as you get them after the s-curve
- one tank, you fire it after the left corner before exiting the tunnel.
--recharge it at the big left corner before the long straght.
On the long straight, you have two block of houses on the left,
if you have a double NOS (normally yes) you fire it at the end of the first block of house,
if you have a single, fire it 1/2 second after the start line.
-- recharge it on the first left corner of the S-curve.
there there is three possibilities:
-single NOS: do the same as for LAP1.
-Double NOS : fire it at the middle of the first long right curve
-Triple NOS: wait 1/2 to one sec after the last corner of the S-curve, and fire it.
--recharge it on the big left corner before the hill climb
There, three possibilities:
1 or 2 NOS: do as the first LAP.
3 NOS, wait 1/2 second and fire it.
--recharge it at the corner at the end of the cave.
For the rest it the same as the other LAPS!

Hope it help
