In San Francisco after you rescue Dr. Malikov and fight the Kraken for the first time...you and the Doctor walk outside and discover the Chimera have taken over San Francisco. Its not a cutscene. Its all in real time and that very scene with the Golden Gate bridge and the San Francisco Bay may be one of the coolest scenes in video game history. Dr. Malikov says "My God, It's true." And that scene awesome. I stood their for awhile just looking over the bay. Simply amazing.

Yes the scale of the game is bigger. I don't think it's the greatest scene in gaming history, but it the scale is impressive. One of the few things R2 has over R1.

The orange sky with the Chimera's ships above

One of the best scenes in the history of gaming

Never had YLOD
500GB HDD

YLOD punishes the non-paranoid about PS3 hygiene.

It would of been better if it seemed more like a battle instead of just their ships flying over our heads.

I have to say, it is one of the coolest looking scenes in video game history.  Arguably the best....  looking out over the bay, and up to the sky.....it was just awesome.

Great way to show the Chimera entering the United States... Which is why there arent planes flying all around to have a fight.... they are invading and there is nothing we can do about.... thats the feeling I got from just that scene...

Amazing!!!!!

I own all three consoles. The Wii is my paper weight. Have not played it since Zelda. My 360 is for 360 exclusives. And my 320 GB PS3 is my baby!!!

the chimera don't attack by air they are an unstoppable force that decimates their target by infecting them. then they send a ground force to take out the stragglers and resisters. and most of the time the force that gets these hidden pockets of human resistance is the infected that turn chimera.

Yea, thats why they have a whole bunch of smaller ships flying around, and thats also why in a coop mission we had to destroy their fighter jets. >_>
