Thats a current theory, although I think its unlikely.
Don't get me wrong it would be an interesting twist, but I never really understood why there was so much adoration for this character.
I think he's cool yeah, but IDK he doesn't really have much of a personality.
Yeah, I have the same sensation: re4 killed old school resident evil. That's why i don't like re4. BUT i like re5. Yeah, i know resident evil 5 looks like an improved version of re4, but i had some years to accept the new resident evil gameplay from re4 to re5 (though i still prefer the old school gameplay A.K.A. survival horror). Sometimes i see people complaining about the zombies (or lack of them) in re4 and re5. Well, the original title (in Japan) is Biohazard, not resident evil or zombie hunters. We have to keep that in mind when we look at the series. Anything that's a bio accident or bio related can be used in resident evil's world, not only zombies.
That's why i already asked a lot of times here on this forum - please: bring resident evil outbreak file #1 and file #2 as a bundle with a platinum trophy for each one and HD. That would be a way to veteran resident evil fans like me to play old school and of course, trying to get the platinum trophy of each one. ^^
