Can anyone clearly explain the duel mechanics to me??  What I do is raise the reticle until it's within my opponent's body and then just hammer on the trigger as quick as I can to get the shot(s) off.  This works really well most of the time but it's not a be all end all way of doing it.  If someone could please explain the proper way to conduct a duel, I'd be grateful.

PS - this is in single player only, I don't really like Rockstar MP games.

You can always aim for the gun hand of the other dueler. If done correctly you won't need to place anymore shots and you will gain honor for sparing a mans life. Plus it's fun to watch them run away like a little girl.
