Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal

As stated. I just finished Resistance and Im pretty much now a fan of Insomniac. I've never played a Ratchet game but Im hyped to play the new one on the ps3. If Im going to buy an older ps2 game to play in the meantime which one is better? Deadlocked or Up your arsenal?

Try beating them in order of the storyline. But if you really want to try one of these games, get Up Your Arsenal.

If you want tothe short answer, skip this paragraph.

Well, it depends on what type of game you like. Up Your Arsenal is more of an platformer, there is more freedom in what you can do and when you want to do it, it has more original weapons than Deadlocked. If your looking for some online play as well, Deadlocked is a bit more active because it is newer but Up Your Arsenal is a generally better experience for most people. Deadlocked is more of a shooter than anything else, it has all your standard weapons that are tweaked to be more original but the UYA weapons are definetly cooler. There arent any puzzles as I can remember and you dont have too much freedom on what you want to do. You cant roam around the map because there isnt much space to roam around.

It depends if you like a shooter or an action/adventure game. If you want a shooter get Deadlocked, if you want more of an adventure game get Up Your Arsenal. I'd get the first and second game before either of these but, suit yourself.

If you are planning on buying the ps3 ratchet and clank game then you should get UYA, because the gameplay will be similar, but deadlock is more of a shooter. Personally although I liked deadlock, but I think naughty dog tried to take the series in a different direction with deadlock and ended up altering the gameplay too much. So it pretty much does depend on if you like shooters or platformers.

dont just buy one.. buy them all and beat them in order, its a great game and is extremely fun to play and just playing one of them isnt enought, you will want to get them all

okay, yeah if you really only wanna get one, which is by far a retarded thing to do because you will wanna buy the rest, then by one of the last three... cause the first one is slower paced then the last three.... just my personal opinion

Naughty Dog makes the Jak and Daxter series. Insomniac makes the Ratchet and Clank series.
