Re: Rent or Buy?

There is an arena in the game in the Imperial Festival. YOu can gain bolts and riratnium to help you upgrade you armor and weapon. Thats the onlyside quest Ive found so far! I'm in the 4th planet I think. There's also a space ship mini game lolz

Space combat was announced for quite a while for it to be laughter. Anyways, feel free to give your impressions on the game on the link:

So no games that don't include online content are worth buying?

And renting DOES NOT support your first party IP's. Next thing we'll hear about is that the playstation 3 does not have any exclusive, yet when a quality title hits, people don't support it.

Personally, I love single player games.

Re: Rent or Buy?

I am also looking for opinions whether to rent or buy. Logic tells me I should really buy it, and that I should be supporting PS3 IP exclusives, and that it's great to have and show off.

And yet, I don't have that "GOD I MUST HAVE IT" feeling in my gut. It's there for COD4, and Rock Band, and even to some extent GH3, so I'll be pretty strapped for cash this winter (and no, it's not very likely that I'll get any of these for Christmas; for some reason once you're in your 20's your parents won't buy you x-mas games anymore). Plus, I'm sure I'll break down and buy COD4 and Rock Band on their launch dates.

But the last time I had this "Logic v. emotion" quandry was with Motorstorm, and I don't really find it fun. I mean, it's good looking, supports Sony exclusives, and amusing I suppose, but I can't even be bothered to play through the whole single player mode (and I spent about 40 minutes online before dragging it to the metaphorical Recycle Bin). Everyone was shouting then about how it was a "MUST BUY", but it seems now I would have been better off with a rent.

So I'm not really for or against it, I'm just looking for someone who can share a real opinion either way. So far there's still been some "BUY PERIOD" and "naah i'll rent cuz it doesn't have online!" exclamations, but I haven't seen to much reasoned debate.

Thoughts, please?

Re: Rent or Buy?

Buy, becasue it is a R&C game, end of story.  I know it will take me a while to finish it (I'm not the type of person to sit down and play the same game for 6 hours straight 2 days in a row).

Re: Rent or Buy?

I've actually been debating on whether to buy this game also.  I almost did Tuesday night, but got scared I would not like it.  I'm not a very patient gamer, and while I love the weapons and gadgets of the R and C series, I've never liked the space flights.  I know in UYA I hated the part where you had to shoot down the invading fighters.

I guess my question is: what kind of gamer do you need to be to enjoy this game?  Do you need to be a huge platformer fan?  One with patience to make unusual jumps?  Maybe this is a rental since I'm not sure?

Could be because I dont get to play that much.
I am sure I would not beat it before I had to return it
