Hello internet, I was wondering....how does the Racthet and CLank 3 challenge mode work? I'm trying to platinum R&C3 (from the R&C collection obviously) and I need all the skill points. I haven't gone into challenge mode yet but I can. If I do, does it reset the skills points? I only need 1 more skill point, and that's to get the Inferno armor. Can I go into challenge mode and get the bolts then buy it and still get the trophy? or do I have to get the bolts (a whopping 700 thousand) before I go into challenge mode? If I have to get the bolts, what's the fastest way to get bolts?
Thanks for all repsonses in advance.

All the skill points that you've earned in your first playthrough will transfer over to challenge mode. What challenge mode does is it lets you keep all the bolts, all the skill points, and all the guns you've gained in the game. What you'll lose is all the level progress. You'll start over from the beginning of the game and will need to replay all the levels.
Challenge mode is good for gaining multiple bolts that would take forever to reach otherwise, as in challenge mode there's an ongoing multiplier. Enemies are much harder than they are normally. The more enemies you defeat without dying will add to the multiplier count. The highest the multiplier will go is 20. So any bolts you've made from a kill times 20 will add up better when the number is that much higher.
It isn't required that you obtain all the skill points before entering challenge mode, though it seems to be the preferred method. That way you've done everything that you meant to do in normal mode, and then in challenge mode the Infernox armor will protect you much better than you'd be without it. One of the best ways to make a lot of bolts is just by replaying through a level and smashing everything along the way that you can. It's slow and some levels are seemingly wealthier than others, but if you've been through the game already then I'm sure you have your favorite spots picked out.
