I just bought it last week. I have played every main Ratchet and Clank title since the beginning. A good series grows with the player and keeps him or her engaged from start to finish. I can safely say Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One is the worst game thus far in the series. As said by most reviewers it was made for a child. I almost refuse to believe this game was made by the Insomniac team, because they have put out so many great games. It lacks an engaging story line, the witty humor the series is known for, and the game play all R&C fans know and love. I was so upset with the new addition to the series that I took it back 2 days after I purchased it. One can only hope Insomniac realizes the error of their ways and makes the next game 10x better, perhaps on the level of Deadlocked or Going Commando!
Sincerely,
-A disappointed fan.

Maybe they owed Sony one more game and they phoned it in? As for insomniac learning the error of their ways, they are publishing their next game with Electronic Arts. It's called Overstrike, and it looks like it will kick some serious back side.
As for what is going to happen with the Ratchet and Clank series, who knows at this point.

I feel the same way as you. I've been a big big R&C fan since the begining and this latest effort feels more like a collection of mini sketches attached to a (forced) co-op setting. There is no story, no connection to the characters we know & love. The camera is wonky enough to make it difficult to play the game and some of the characters get lost in the battle chaos. A huge fail from a beloved series.

For the most part I have to agree. The newest game was really quite a let down. It wasn't honestly that fun even with 4 players. It's nice that Insomniac tried something new, but it just seems to me they were so determined to push the 4 player concept that they scrapped all the things that made Ratchet, Ratchet. Which is a pity for sure.
