Lets see. Snivelak is good for it. SO is siberius, and greblin, You can also try it on damosel against the swarming pets. That should upgrade the sucker.

I used planet Grelbin to upgrade most of my stuff.

i havent playesd the game for ages so i cant remeber wot the planets r called but i remeber that i did it on all levels but the one i trained on the most is that snow one where angela lives.

Just one thing, the hover gun is like a shot gun. When you fire it, the spiked balls spread out. So its better to detonate them at close range.

,The gun you're refering to is the TeslaBomb Gun. It is the upgraded version of the HoverBomb Gun, and instead of shooting a single bomb, it will shoot a wave of them (about 5 or 6). The controls are the same, if you hold down Square you can control them, and if you don't, you can detinate it at will, apposed to the other way, when you let go, they blow-up.

Once its upgraded once, you cannot upgrade it anymore untill you are in challenge mode. When your in Challenge Mode, you can buy Mega upgrades from the vendors. With constant use, the Mega weapon will upgrade to its final form of Ultra. There are a few weapons that only go to the second form, and others that do not even upgrade.

     The upgraded version of the Hoverbomb Gun is the Tetrabomb.  You can easily upgrade the Tetrabomb Gun, to its next level, on Planet Grelbin.  By Angela's house, there are many protopets that have a higher experience than the ones on Planet Damosel.  If your only intent is to upgrade, that would be the perfect place to do so.  The more powerful an enemy is, the more experience your weapon will gain after defeating it, and the quicker it will upgrade.
