Re: Insomniac Games on "Icons"

I'm going to be at a technology conference.  They give out lots of free pens, gizmos, food, and other good junk like that.  They give you a monstrous goodie bag as soon as you enter the door.  It's like Trick-or -treat for grownups.  And it's not a small bag.  It's about the size of 4 grocery bags.  Last year I totally cleaned up on the swag.  I got several (full) bubble gum dispensers, portable fans, weird desktop devices that light up and do cool stuff, and other various techie toys.  I still have half a bag of stuff in the closet from last year.  When you work in the computer field, they treat you differently than they do the reg'lar folk.

Then there was free booze at the after-show parties (3 different ones that night).  One had a barbecued pig and a live band.  It was themed like a Hawaiian luau.  The others had really good hors d'ovres.  One was in a hotel and was well catered.  Then at the Lockheed party I got my picture taken next to two guys dressed like Orville and Wilbur Wright.  One was holding a propeller.  That was certainly different.  I guess they bought out the rights to the Wright Bros plane or something.  Who knows?  I don't care, I got my picture.  And then when you go to the conference the next day you just go by the Lockheed booth and they have it developed and framed for you.  Cheap cardboard frame, but still...

I'll have to write down a list of all the junk I pick up this year.

So I'm sure you can understand why I will NOT be watching TV at 1:30.  I have a full day tomorrow, as well as the rest of the week.  Sorry.

No, come to think of it, I'm not really sorry.  Oh well.

If you give me the pacific time and a blank DVD or VHS and $35 I will tape it. I'm not sure if it will reach you
