In my opinion it is still the best to date. Long, unpredictable and never getting stale. It was the best game you could ask for. All Ratchets are good in their own way, but two in my opinion was and is, the best.

Ah... you must be talking about the Argus battle on planet Oozla. Here's a secret...
YOU CAN GO BACK AND FIGHT HIM AGAIN!
Seriously. And he's super tough even with upgraded weapons and the RYNO II. But it can be done.
Go to Oozla.
Get inside the main building where the entrance is to the tunnel up the gravity boot ramp. This entrance will be locked. You're not supposed to get in once you've already been in there. No problem.
Back up along the hall and get in that hallway pit where you need the Dynamo to activate those temporary platforms to get you across. But you won't use the platforms. You're going to purposely fall down into that pit.
Turn back to face the tunnel. The wall in front of you has two parts. On the left is the part with the opening above it. To the right is just a regular wall. It has some plant growth on it. Get right up to the plant growth portion of the wall.
Use the FPM glitch to climb the wall. This is where you go into First Person Mode (you can only do this after the second time through in "Challenge Mode"), Run at the wall and jump up at the last second. Then throw the wrench repeatedly at the wall. This will cause you to slowly levitate up the surface of the wall and actually pop out through the roof of the building. Latch onto the invisible hand grip at the top of the wall.
Get out of FPM.
Jump up and stand on the hand grip area. You are now standing on top of the building. But you have to be careful because parts of the roof are solid and some parts are phantom.
Activate the Spider-bot/Tank-bot weapon. The turret weapon ought to work as well. This will place a target circle in front of you. You can tell by the color of the circle which parts of the roof are solid enough to stand on.
Carefully walk and jump closer and closer to the hatch where you go down that tube to fight Argus (the boss monster). I believe you can see the tube on the map, and at certain angles you can actually look down and see the tube. Try to nudge your way as close as possible to that tube.
When you're about as close as you're ever going to get, jump off the side of the building toward that tube. Use the helicopter blades or the jet pack to slow your descent. Steer directly for the tube.
If you do this right, you will trip the magic sensor and the cutscene will activate. You're sliding down that tube into the Argus pit. You land on a big lily pad and the fight is on. Good luck. You will need it.
You can use this method to battle Argus many times.
