Here are some pictures that I took Monday, before the show opened, and some from Tuesday, especially of the rally cars.

A custom Impala

Art Morrison 1950 Chevy Pick-up, not a trailer queen.

Driven over 1,000 over the mountains, in the snow.

Apparently, the first custom SONY promotions truck in a decade, instead of just using the standard billboard trucks that run around town. Two projectors: one on this side that you can see and another one covering the whole other side. They just broadcasted the image onto the glass / plastic sheet (?) that you can see.

This is the brother of the orange and green 787b in GT.

It came in 3rd, at Le Mans.

There are so many cars that I selected to focus on older ones.

It probably wouldn't be a good idea to challenge this wagon owner. :smileysurprised:

Hot Wheels display, on tracks. The car on the left was built with the idea of the original Hot Wheels car, then they built the replica car on the right.

Not your everyday idea of a hybrid car...

Triple screens for an iRacing display. The car was too much for the driver, so he just crashed.

This is a Mercer, from 1924, I think.

When I approached this truck from the front, I thought, "OK. Looks nice..."

Then I got to see the rear-end. I never did find out "why?"

The replacement NSX.

Looks like a 1955 Chevy Bel Air Nomad...

The only car that I know of that was from Canada, this year.

The only one I saw...

They managed to put two of their loves together.

A Power Wagon

Since SEMA is not open to the public, Rocket Chemical's display is about the only one that has any sort of showgirl.

This is the recently restored #28 Belly Tank car which was the fastest unblown flathead-powered car in the history of Bonneville, in 1951.

I had expected to see a lot more Velsoters there than I did.

A nicely done Woody.

This was Monday afternoon. I think the race was Wednesday night. At night, I went by the lot where they had the races, but I didn't have a ticket. I was able to watch from a distance anyway. There seemed to be more than one stage and I couldn't hang around, but Tanner didn't win the first one. He led much of the race, but then got knocked back to about fourth, near the end.

Ya the rules of GRC are a little different. You have many heats to qualify for the final heats. Watch it here if you wanna see what was going on :smileywink:
