We got a petition going on the Motorstorm board that we are hoping to give the Motorstorm Development Team later today during a live chat.  This petition relates to the lack of offline splitscreen (a.k.a. Multiplayer).  If you are an individual who wants this option in the game via a downloadable patch, please sign up, it will only take a minute of your time.  Also, spread the word to friends and fellow gamers so they know as well.  Right now we have about 230 people and if we can get about 500 total I think we can make an influence in a change in a game.  Thanks in advance.

While split screen offline would be nice, its not something the dev.s can just add-on.  First they have to impliment the mode, then they have to tweak the game to allow X amount of vehicles on screen for BOTH players.  That means optimizing the mode so the framerate doesn't drop and that the AI isn't a pushover...

Yeah, it could be an add-on (downloadable) but if you think about it, that only affects people who are connected to the internet...so be honest, if you are connected to the internet to download this add-on, wouldn't you rather play with some friends online with th eentire screen to yourself, rather than having split it down the middle?  This feature should have been in from the start, considering that not everyone plays online...

The wonders of having a Hard drive, isnt it nice? game developers can add entire worlds to a game with a persons hard drive, it's not very hard. Just make the patch for your Hard drive, and available for everyone to download from a website or something and then make it coinside with the game when it's active in the system, no harm done.

And as for the offline people who don't have internet (dont know why someone with a PS3 couldent afford internet) they can make a hard copy available for sale that you can download onto your Hard drive. It's a simple fix MMORPG's have been adding patches like this for years, and they were gonna do it with GT4 but Sony scrapped the HD program.

How could the devs sell a 'Mode' for the game that should have been in place prior to the release?  I mean, i know for those connected to the internet patches will be available, but this is something that should be standard in EVERY racing game...

I don't know why people keep saying this... For some the issue is not the price of internet, it is the AVAILABILITY! It doesn't matter if you can afford a $150/month internet service if the service is not available. The "alternative" scenario is to have satellite internet, which is terrible for online games due to the horrible ping times. (read: lag)

And I agree, there should be no charge for a part of the game that should have been there from the start. Why the hell can we have so many controllers running at the same time, yet not have any games to use them with?
