They are two very different games, so why not get both?
GT has an vibrant and active on-line service and it will stay active until well after any newer version gets released, but what about F1 now? How is it doing on-line?

F1 2010 takes awhile to find a full room but you can add AI drivers to the field so that's cool. Two very different games with different physics and car characteristics. I enjoy them both but if you are looking for online play, GT5 is the game to get.

GT5 online is the wackest online ever.

I cannot say either game is good for online , but I agree with GT they are both really different games and it's hard to compare them side by side. They look different, feel different, and sound different but coming from an owner of both I would say GT5 as it has more to sink your teeth into. Or just wait until F1 2011 that's not to far away!

played the demo for F1 2012 an I'd have to say that GT5 wins, hands down over any an all other racing sims... short of Forza
lol, saw this and laughed so hard. Short of Forza? Fact: On Forza 3 home page it said in big letters ARCADE RACER. Forza is an arcade casual car show. GT5 is it for console sim until Project Cars is released.

i don't really know about f1, but gt5 is a really great game. it has about 1000 cars, 50 tracks, and endless hours of great racing.
the graphics are really great too. everything is as detailed as possible and in pure hd.
