I haven't been a Qore subscriber since the beginning, but I've had my PS3 for about a year and a half, maybe. I love the idea of them having a video-zine, rather than paper, however...I'm sick of only getting High Velocity Bowling for a download, every month. Now I have a yearly subscription b/c I'd love to support the service, but this is seriously making me reconsider my choice. I've looked at the past issues and there seems to some decent ones out there, but not lately. I'm sick of the idea that I paid for this video-zine and I get 1 decent theme, another I'd care less about and the option to download the same game I got 2 months ago. Why isn't there more of a variety? Do they just have an overwhelming amount of free downloads for this game and they're trying to pawn them off on the public? What gives? It's especially a waste since: Why would I want to download a game I already have?
There hasn't been much variety lately in terms of free games, but over the last 18 months I've gotten High Velocity Bowling (which I also already owned, unfortunately), Linger in Shadows, Siphon Filter, Spyro the Dragon, and Calling All Cars for free due to my annual Qore subscription.
Now I don't play any of those games much, and would have liked something a little more aligned with my tastes, but I can't really complain that I get nothing out of my subscription. Not to mention I received early access codes to the closed betas for MAG, Uncharted 2 multiplayer, PlayStation Home, and ModNation Racers.
To each their own I guess.
the bowling game is standard download for qore subscribers meaning anyone that subscribes to qore is able to download it no matter when they subscribe, only other thing that changes right now are the themes and once in a while beta codes
I guess I'll just have to wait and see if it ends up really being worth it. I don't care about most betas, as I get into them by going to PAX, anyways. Stuff that comes out inbetween, like Mod Nation Racers would've been fun to get into, though. It just seems like the "cool, worth it" stuff is few and far inbetween. I guess I'll just give it time. Thanks for the responses, though.
Yeah, I paid for it also. Sucks, but what you gonna do?
I liked getting all the small DLC purchases for the game until it just got too expensive. I would like to have a new game at this point in additional to High Velocity Bowling.
