i have 300mbps internet and have problems on my ps4 and ps3, it worked flawless for about a week after i signed up and i ended up canceling my cable it was working so good, but then all of a sudden i had buffering problems with both live tv and dvr, it seems to come and go so i never know when it is going to do it.
Part of it has to do with the popularity of a show/channel. Since it is cloudbased a popular show might take a lot more recources than others. I'm sure Sony will figure this out.
Yes! I actually decided not to continue after my free trial becuase of the buffering. I was using my PS3 to Vue(?). I was able to go from Vue to Hulu, Netflix or Amazon Prime and not have a single issue! Buffering wasn't my only issue. The guide was also very difficult to use. I couldn't just press L2 or R2 to scroll with out it, either not scrolling at all, or it would zoom to either the beginning or end of my listed channels, very frustrating.
I don't currently have cable, but thought this was a great idea to allow my family and me to watch more "live" shows and sports. I'll keep an eye out to see if this issue is ever resolved, but until then, I'll just keep with my other streaming services.
Last night at 8pm, I was watching BeinSports, and it started to freeze once in a while. Then 5 minutes later it got so bad, it was just completely frozen, instead of stop/start. I gave up and switched to my iPad and watched the same channel and it was fine.
It is possibly my bandwidth, however.

Yes.. I am experiencing issues.. but I notice that the issues I am experiencing are brief pauses, followed by an immediate catch-up, resulting in what appears to be a "blip"... It also results in missing bits and pieces of the progarmming. I am noticing the issue only on the Disney family of programming channels (Disney, ABC, ESPN, etc.), and I am mostly noticing it during peak hours (Evenings, Weekends, Holidays). The issue seems to DVR also, so if I am watching a program live, and it "blips", I get the blip in the same spot when I watch the DVRd version later.
This happens on both my Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Sticks. I primarily watch on my Amazon Fire TV and that is a wired connection
I want to love this service and hope Sony figures it all out soon. These issues shouldn't be happening on a 300/25 net connection over a gigabit cat 6 wire to the ps4.
The only channel that buffers so far is Fox News. I've got the biggest package with Fox Soccer Plus added, that’s a **bleep** ton of channels. CNN works fine, Chiller works fine, live streaming rugby matches from Australia works fine, Fox News is the only station that is incapable of being watched. Paused for over an hour and with the longest period of the streaming working was about 10 minuets.
I’m streaming Vue from my Amazon Fire TV, never have an issue with any other app. Switching from Fox to literally any other channel works immediately and perfectly. So far from internet connection and the Fire TV service or box. It is specifically Fox News streaming via the PS Vue service.
As far as city, its a larger city but it occurs at every hour. I work nights so anywhere from 4pm to 8am I've had issues. Sometimes changing channels will help but at most for the reminder of whatever show it currently on as soon, for example, as the clock goes from 7:59 to 8:00 it will begin freezing again giving me at best another buffering every 10 seconds. Internet speed it great, city size couldn't matter if its all day, hell size of my left big toe couldn't be a factor. It is Vue.
