Using PS4 launch bundle with 1 year ps plus subscription in New Zealand

8 replies 199 views Edited Jul 8, 2013

Hi,

Apologies if someone has already asked this question before on this thread.  I live in New Zealand and will be travelling to the states at the end of the year.  If I buy one of the ps4 launch bundles with a ps plus 1 year subscription, can I use that in New Zealand?

Thanks

You would need to make an account for the USA to be able to use the subscription.

You would also require an adapter to be able to plug the PS4 into an electrical outlet, lastly bear in mind any 'fee/duty' you may have to pay for taking it into the country.

It's okay.  If I am travelling with the item, I can brin in $700 NZD worth of goods without any duty.  I just can't import it without tagging along with it.  Okay, so in terms of ps plus, I guess I won't be able to use the ps plus subscription since I live in NZ and don't have a US credit card?  That's okay.  I was just hoping to get the battlefield 4 + 1 year ps plus sub bundle but I'll just go with the safer option of the watch dogs bundle and get the ps plus sub in NZ.  Thanks for your help.

One more quick question. Does the PS4 have a universal power supply? So it should work in NZ where we have 240V without a step down transformer?

Also, I just realised something.  If I buy the US version of Watch dogs, will I be able to get any dlcs for it from the NZ ps store?

DLC is region locked so if you buy a game from USA/Canada you need your PSN ID to be from that region for DLC to work with the game

No, DLC is region-locked.
