Re: Controller Usage for PS Now compatible Smart TVs & Blu-ray Disc Players

Dec 12, 2015
I bought a Sony Bravia 800C and had my Dualshock 4 controller connected and working great. Then suddenly it stopped responding. I tried to unpair it and re add it but still get nothing. I connected it with a USB cable and I got "controller connected" but it still did not work. Is there a certain button to press to turn it on? I assumed the PS button was on/off

I have the same problem as some others here. I have a bravia KD55X8509C. If my dual shock 4 is connected to my tv I can no longer control my ps4. I have to connect it with a USB cable to the ps4 to regain control. Now it no longer works with the tv. Am I missing something or is the whole process a bit bobbins?

I tried to day on the same TV and had the same exact issue. I'm canceling the subscription. The controller works with the Gamefly app.

Re: Controller pairing for PS Now compatible Smart TVs

Dec 31, 2015

I just signed up for Playstation Now on with my new Samsung UN40 JU7500, I have successfully registered, and have started the 7 day trial period. I have subscribed to about five games, none of which show up on the PS Now session. Interestingly enough, I am able to see these games within my online Playstation Network account details. I continue to get the error stating that a DualShock 4 must be available, despite the fact that it has been successfuly paired to the television. What a mess.

I've tried pairing a Sony dualshock 3 with a Samsung H6500 tv but unfortunately it's not recognizing it, i connected it with usb and it's just charing, i've gone to device manager, pushed the ps button and kept it for 8 sec but nothing happens.

Hey guys,

I just got the Dual Shock 4 controller for my Samsung 65 Curve TV model# UN65JU7500. I was able to pair the controller and do some functions on PS Now but when it comes to start the games it won't do anything. Any ideas??

Yes, call Samsung. This issue is on their end after the latest update. The controller will connect and glow solid white but never turn blue allowing you to navigate the PS NOW app and play games.

This issue only started after the latest update to Samsung TVs.

Any update on this issue? I successfully pair the DS4 to my samsung JS8000 and get a solid white light. When i click on the PS Now app and click on a game i receive the same message about connecting my DS4 controller with just a cancel button. I've tried restarting the tv and connecting the controller via USB but still does not work. Has anyone successfully reached a resolution? Thanks.

Same problem here.  I have a UN50JU6500 with software update 1440.  2 Dualshock 4 controllers are paired and connected to the TV (unpaired then repaired, both show up in the device manager as connected)  Sont PS Now app loads and then goes to the "please connect controller" screen and will not respond to the controllers.

Is this part of the 1440 update?  Very frustrating.  Thanks for any help.
