Welcome to the Forums.

I haven't heard of Xplornet, however if you are able to play other games online then I assume your internet is capable, it may be an issue with the MW2 servers being used?

What results do you get when you do an internet connection test?

Generally if you are wireless you will get/require NAT Type 2, if you are 'hard-wired' then NAT Type 1 is not uncommon, NAT Type 3 is a no no, having UPnP unavailable is also a no no.

Another thing that comes to mind is have you port forwarded the required ports?

You need to set your nat to NAT2, you can do so by going on your router settings site.

Wired vs wireless has nothing to do with NAT type, so don't worry about about being wired or wireless.

NAT 2 is typically when you use a router of any kind. NAT 1 is typically when there a router involved.

NAT 3 is when there is a router and the firewall is very strict.

The fact that you are using satellite will affect lag and speeds and such.

But, in order to get from NAT 3 to NAT 2 at least, you'll need to configure your router to open ports.

The portforward.com site can be good. Find your router and follow the guide.

But again, if you are using any sort of router, you're going to be getting NAT 3 or NAT 2.

The only time you'll typically see NAT 1 is when you are connected directly to a modem that has no hardware router/firewall involved.
