agreed as well. the cutscences were good. but not funny, and kent brockman could have explained what we had to do better. i was just messing around for the first 15 mins before i noticed u had to shoot the big boys back.

haha and u gota fight that camera to do it. homer was useless in that level. all u had to do was shoot with the boomerang and then glide on his things which were open.

the little krusty the clowns didnt do anything but say somethings about being a jew and stuff. i didnt get why they needed to add the stupid jokes.

yet again simpsons lost there edge around 1995. o well, they can still sell out with a mediocre game like futurama and about every other cartoon video game has done

Wow the Simpsons demo was horrible...I totally agree the camera is crazy. (Comic-book Guy) "Worst Demo ever".

I thought this game was terrible. Still it had three things going against it.

1) Nearly all games based off of TV or movies tend to be bad.

2) EA had a hand in making this game.

3) EA!!!!!

As much as I hate EA, I was actually impressed with this demo.  Being a HUGE Simpsons fan I was expecting EA to live up to their reputation and make a truly horrible unplayable game.  Fortunately I was wrong, to a degree.

The animation was fantastic, seemed almost like I was watching and episode on TV, but when the game actually took over it didn't feel like I was hoping.  As mentioned, the camera is a little troublesome but just like most games you have to used to the camera and it isn't too bad once you get the hang of it.  As far as gameplay goes, the collectibles and  clichés were a good add.  However, Homer seemed utterly pointless bar rolling over hydrants for Bart.  He actually became a bit of an annoyance more than a help.  Frame rates were solid throughout my 45 min of playing it, so no complaints there from me.  Controls take a bit of getting used to, but they were fine with me after some time.

Definitely want the game now.  Reserving it tomorrow.

so you rate it a 10/10, and you havent even had time to play it thoroughly? well, atleast that score isnt biased. 10 minutes in, i find myself spending too much time running behind the donut man, and not enough time focusing on the gameplay. the krusty dolls did nothing except die, and the rest of the level had no interactivity. my opinion.

Couple replies: Anti-Aliasing was bad, but what do you expect, the show isn't even in HD, it's a game based on a cartoon, and it made by EA... given all this I had expected worse much worse and was pleasantly surprised it looked how it did. Camera was not as bad as you all complain, very much like any other 3rd person game with lots to see on the screen, yes, annoying at times when around a building, but I've seen worse and was definately manageable with a little skill Targeting system was annoying and I never could get the hang of cycling through them with the right analog stick, although it did work at times. However, I have not seen many 3rd person games with a better solution to targeting - even in the R&C demo it was not much better then this. As for those who complained about Homer being useless, yes, he was, on this level. And on some levels Bart will be useless. This was but one level of the game and as anyone should realize, each character will have their strengths and excell at certain levels of the game more than others, this is not a valid reason to bash the game. All an all I give it about a 7 - Not worth buying unless your a huge Simpsons fan, but might be worth a rent if your bored. All and all, about typical for any video game based on a cartoon.

not too great! I liked simpsons hit and run but I don't like this one that much!

I expected worse.. and it turned out ok.  Not too bad... camera needs some tweaking as well as the control scheme.
