i know all the fanboys are gunna flame me for criticizing PSN, but as a PS3 owner, i think it has some major holes. I mean simple things like having to scroll down an entire list of friends to see friend invites, or the slow in game xmb. It would be nice to have an in game "dashboard" where everything can be accessed from the window. It stinks that you cant access the xmb if you are in the PS store. So if somebody sends you a message (which you have to SEARCH for in the message box) you have to exit out of the store and look for the message. Little things like cross game chat aren't necessary, its just the little things that would make PSN so much easier. I has SO many holes its not even funny.

In the store, it could be an xmb. When you log into your account, it says that you got a message and it shows that you didn't read it with an arrow facing down.

only change i have wanted for the messaging is that there should be a delete multiple messages option, if you have alot of game invites or spam crap
another thing would be nice to be able to organize friends by lists

You have to search for them? Do you get 50 messages per minute or something? You don't have to search, you go to the inbox, and open the most recent unread message right at the top of the list.

I don't think it needs a face lift, I love the way it looks, its just needs to be improved with things like cross game chat, faster in game xmb, better messaging system, in- store xmb. Plus the XMB could be touched up to look kinda more like the psn store since that looks all snazzy now.
