Hey, I have a 120 GB Slim. Recently I have been getting the error code 8002AD36 "You have have been signed out of the Playstation Network" Bull S***. This is driving me insane. It happens from what seemed to be rarely, to a problem that happens every 10 min! I have tried everything. I have put the PS3 in DMZ, Port forward, and Restarted my router, I even have a wired connection. This happens all the time when I play Modern Warfare 2 and gets kind of annoying after a while. So if anyone knows how to fix this It would be greatly appreciated!
I too have had this problem for the last few days but I've never had it before. I've been looking everywhere for a solution but it seems like noone has one that works. I couldn't find what the error code means or how to really fix it, just stall it. I'm disconnected at (and i have timed with a stopwatch) about 3 minutes of doing nothing, 30 seconds in an offline game, and immediately entering any sort of online activity. I would definitely appreciate if anyone in the PSN / Sony staff would do anything, but I guess with the economy being terrible and every job at stake, doing your work is too much to ask...
This appears to be on Sony's side.
Yesterday I was trying to play Red Dead Redemption with four friends. All but one got an error when they tried to come to where I was. I got an error when I accepted their invite. It was very non-sensical and messed up.
I also have port forwarding and DMZ.
Today, I was just using the chat function and I would get logged out.
Hopefully, by next week, this will be all sorted out.
Hate to be a cynic but ive seen posts of people reporting this problem from over a year ago, i rather doubt the troubleshooting branch is very active... My opinion of sony's support is dropping faster than a bald midget loses heat in arctic waters...
Personally, I don't envy Sony's IT folks - considering the number of systems all hitting the PSN it is amazing it works as well as it does.
I DO expect them to iron out the bugs. But right now, it is unusable for all but a small number of people.
I'm not disappointed with the amount of things Sony must deal with, but each and every problem I've ever had to ask them about since PS1 I received either solutions that did nothing, or they said they'd get back to me with more info and never did...
I have been getting this same error for the last 5 days. I cant stay signed in for 5 minutes and sometimes i cant even sign in. Is it a problem on Sony's side because i do not think it is my internet provider. I have O2 Wireless Broadband and the network settings on the PSN cross media bar indicates no problem with the internet.
Any help would be appreciated.
It may be a router problem. ***To all who get error codes, and disconnected from any game it may be your router.*** I solved my problem with a new router. Before I had a cheap Belkin router that never worked properly. The new router I bought a D-Link DIR-655 Xtreme N Gigabit Router works EXTREMELY WELL! From a person who experienced multiple error code problems and disconnection playing MW2, GTA IV, WaW etc. I reccomend this router! I never get dropped from anything, wired or wireless. And its only $100 (at least mine was) so its not like your buying a $200 router.
Unless its your ISP...
This is a problem with the Playstation Network. I've been signed out 8 times in the last hour with this error message, while my Xbox 360 on the same network has been fine for weeks, as well as any other device on the network.
