Minimum Connection speed for ps3?

1 replies 41 views Edited Mar 28, 2007
I did the speed test from speedtest.net or w/e.  I noticed people are like 1000+ I dont understand.  I pay for high speed verizon dsl and yet, as you can see im at like 700?  Im like -2000 less then the avg speed.  Im paying 30$ a month and im getting the lowest spped when it says high speed...  Im going to try and call my provider tomorrow and see **bleep** is up.  Why am I paying 30$ ( not me but my father) for such sh*t connection.

Sounds like you are going at 700KBPS.  Technically it can go a lot higher.  My verizon DSL runs at a max of 1.5MBPS.  Even higher DSL speeds are available up to 7MBPS.  Cable typically can go up to 10mbps, and other connection are potentially way higher.

The wireless g in the ps3 can do 54MBPS.  The wired can to 1000MBPS (not sure what ISP can go that fast).  Verizon Fios is advertising 5MBPS, 15MBPS and 30MBPS
