Ok, my computers are in my computer room 43' away from where I want to hook up my PS3. So that is router to PS3 is 43' as the crow flys. A ethernet cable would have to travel from one corner of my computer room to the other, cut through the corner of my kitchen and all the way to the other side of my living room where the tv is. I would probably need close to 100' of cable to directly connect the PS3 to the network. Anybody else have a better idea. Now my router is both wired and wireless capable and from what I have heard I can use both at the same time. Computers are connected by hardwire.
