Difference between a master account and sub account?

I want to create another account and im wondering what does the master account let u do that the sub account doesnt.

Sub is for lil kid so parent can block them for the internet

Im 24 and i just want to have another name to play online with so are u telling me that just because i create a sub account i wont be able to access material that is meant for 18 and over.

You don't HAVE to create a sub account. You as an adult can create as many master accounts as you want as long as you have different users. You can create a sub account for somebody over 18, you can just keep a better track of purchases and games played etc. if you have a sub account.
