Well i have been posting about disabling UPnP in the routers settings since early December not long after i got my PS3 the 6th. But i don't know if i was the 1st to find it but i did figure it out on my own and i have posted it tons of times in fact so much i set it as a Macro lol.
There is a lot of people experiencing this error. I had it for a while and I couldn't download the patch for call of duty 4 without it stoping at like 20 percent. After searching these boards I found many ways to fix it but none were concrete and worked. Finally I found a solution that will fix this error. You have to go into your routers settings and disable upnp. I don't know much about routers and I don't know what a upnp is but I read on one of the forums that you have to disable this. I did and now my PS3 works great on the internet!! Sorry to whoever came up with that solution for not giving you credit but i cant remember what forum I found it in. Hope that helps guys
