security settings not letting me connect

Problem: computer downstairs has wpa-personal security settings with a password and connects beautifully with no problems. when i go to connect my ps3 to the same router using the same password it times out and says the wpa key may not be correct. 

 Solution: ????????????????....................someone help?

Check and make sure you are typing the right key in, it is case sensitive. Make sure the signal strength is at least 80% , in network settings disable media server. Power cycle all network devices (leave them all unpluged for at least 15 seconds then plug back in starting with modem wait 5 seconds then router.) Lastly reset default settings of your ps3 in system settings section.

i typed in the right password in the right case sensitive way. signal strength is 100%. i disabled media server. i "power cycled" all the network devices, and reset default settings on the ps3. 


STILL THE SAME THING. 

 

still says ec=xchange timed out,  wpa key may be wrong.
