OK going to try this again. I starting receiving this message Sunday morning. I played on Friday and forgot to turn the system off and changed TV inputs. Sunday morning I changed the TV input back to the PS3 and realized I had left it on. When I went to load a game I got this message from the system and I have gotten it every time I have tried to sign in since. I connect to the internet via wifi, and have 100% signal strength. Internet connection test works and say I have a connection, and if I open a web browser on the PS3 I have full internet access. I have a Cisco Linksys E2500 router, and no modem as the internet is through my condo's HOA.
What I have done:
Unplugged all hardware devices and restarted.
I restored all default settings on the PS3.
Checked settings on router (nothing had been changed) I have not messed with ports on the router at all. It has worked fine since the day I bought it last May, and have never had to mess with the ports to get connected to the PSN.
This is very frustrating as I have no knowledge of networking or anything more technical than microsoft office products. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I also already tried to disable the Media Server Connection as well with no effect on the problem.
Here are some tips that may help:
OK so I have tried everything I can find to get things back up and running. So I think I may have a hardware issue with my PS3. I followed all of the instructions on the following website to set up DMZ on my router and set up a static ip on the PS3.
Got that all set up and and rebooted everything. I reconnected to the internet and ran the internet connection test and it successfully obtained IP address and internet conneciton. However it did not attempt to connect to the PSN network, list UPNP, or list NAT type. I took a picture of my tv and posted to show what is missing. Once again it is connected to the internet with a 100% strength on wifi and I can access web pages through the browser. Any further suggestions or do you think I have a hardware issue?
