my psn card isnt working

i bought a card a few hours back and tried to redeem it but it keeps showing an error. i checked the code and ive entered it correctly and it is of the same region it just keeps showing and error can anyone help is it because of the vita update or maintenance or something???

Did you do it exactly with capital letters, and regular numbers? If yes, try to exchange the card. If they don't accept, call sony customer service.

yeah i did it perfectly but it wont work i heard that waiting it out might work but i dont know just thought maybe people have gone through the same that they might have a solution.
