Welcome to the PlayStation Community.

First some news, 99% of the time there's always a reason for a ban or suspension, you might not know why you were banned but trust me there will have been a good reason for it.

Some more news, accounts do not get stolen, 99% of the time they are given away because the password for the account is given to someone else in return for a gain of some sort or because of game-sharing.

No one here can help you with this, you should receive an email within 48-72 hours of the ban going into effect, that email will explain the reason & length of the ban, until then there is nothing you can do.

If you do not receive your email after around 72/96 hours then would be the time to contact Sony about this.

Your account wasn't stolen - you gave out your password in order to gameshare or have someone level you up in Call of Duty.  Either that or you had the easiest password on the planet that someone guessed.

Tell the truth, and as BRIT said nobody here can help you.

** Use a unique password for your PSN ID - one you don't use anywhere else **
** Engage brain before putting mouth in gear ** ** two-step verification - use it **

There's no point in contacting Sony Toe_Tag, at least not until after 72-96 hours has passed, all they'll tell him is to wait for the email.

Yea you may be right Toe_tag, apologies, i didn't mean to come across as rude, I was going under the assumption that most people come here pretty quickly after realizing they're banned & didn't want the OP running off to Sony CS when they didn't need to.

Guessing the e-mail address isn't too difficult. In many cases, the account "stealer" will work up a conversation with the person first and pry their e-mail address out of them using such bait as "Hey, I saw this really cool website about the game while browsing yesterday. It's a pain in the but to type out the whole address on the PS3, but if you want I can copy and paste it into an e-mail for you." The sucker then thinks "Sure! There are no issues there.' and the e-mail address is given away.

In addition, the scammer can likely find out about other websites the sucker uses or posts in, what their username is from that website, their Facebook account, or many other places where the sucker hasn't thought too much about security and has information publicly available. At that point, it's just a matter of making the right guess.
