Welciome to the PayStation Community.

Was there an error code at all or did it literally just say "an error has occured"?

Have you tried to re-purchase the item you want, if so what happens?

Re: an error has occured

i'm having the exact same problem. I am trying to check out and after putting my password in en error comes up saying "an error has occurred" and that's all it says.

Re: an error has occured

also, i tried emptying my cart and re-adding the things and i get the same result.

i also tried with less items, because my cart was maxed out the first time, and i tried it with different items, both ways i got the same error.

Re: an error has occured

OK for anyone having this problem, it mayeb caused when you have to enter your password before checking out. when i turned that option off and tried checking out without it, everything worked fine. no more error. i havent tried turning it back on yet though.

and i talked to customer support about this and went back and forth with 3 different people, and all though they did try, they really were of no help. they were trying to have me bring my entire PS3 to someone elses house and hook it up to see if it was my ISPs problem. this is why i never contact support. they always try to pass the buck right off the bat.

Re: an error has occured

Did exactly what this person said. Went to account -> transaction settings and turned off the password requirement for checkout, then my purchase went right through and I turned the password check back on. Thanks for finding a solution.
